THEIX, France (Interstat) — Amstetten delivered a massive upset Saturday, defeating Fach-Donaufeld 4-0 in an Austrian Cup of Cup match at Stade Le Perenno. The result defied overwhelming projections that heavily favored Fach-Donaufeld.

Attacker Thomas Mayer led Amstetten with two goals, scoring in the 14th and 84th minutes. Sebastian Leimhofer added a goal in the 58th, and Fach-Donaufeld’s Philip Schneider scored an own goal in the 68th.

Fach-Donaufeld, the designated home team, finished with two yellow cards but could not find the net. The loss extends its winless run in the competition. Amstetten advances with an improved tournament record.
