BOLU, Turkey (Interstat) — Njardvik defeated IR 2-1 in extra time Thursday in an ISL League Cup B match at Bolu Atatürk Stadyumu.

Substitute Daniel Avramovski opened the scoring for Njardvik in the third minute. IR’s Jonathan Okoronkwo, also a substitute, leveled the match in the 28th. The decisive goal came just three minutes later when Njardvik midfielder Doğan Davas found the net.

The match featured physical play, with Njardvik’s Mário receiving a second yellow card in stoppage time. The result defied pre-match projections that favored IR. Njardvik begins its cup campaign with a win, while IR starts with a loss.
