VARBERG, Sweden (Interstat) — Varbergs U21 opened its season with a 2-0 victory over Landskrona U21 in a SWE: U21 League match Tuesday at Varberg Energi Arena. The hosts established an early lead and never relented. Yonathan Morán scored just three minutes into the match, and Uri Amaral added a second goal in the 15th minute. Landskrona U21 was shut out, failing to mount a comeback. The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat, whose simulator had predicted a 2-2 draw. The firm’s ELO rating system, however, had given Varbergs U21 a 76.2 percent probability to win. With the Week 10 victory, Varbergs U21 begins its league campaign with a win, while Landskrona U21 starts with a loss.
