LECCE, Italy (Interstat) — Jari Vandeputte scored in the 89th minute to secure a 1-1 draw for Catanzaro against Ternana in a Serie B match Sunday at Stadio Comunale Via del Mare.

Ternana’s Antonio Raimondo opened the scoring just before halftime, finishing an assist from defender Valerio Mantovani in the 45th minute. Catanzaro, which dominated possession but struggled to break through, finally found the equalizer when the Belgian midfielder Vandeputte struck late.

The result leaves Catanzaro with a strong league record, while Ternana remains winless in the competition this season. The match featured three yellow cards, issued to Ternana’s Gregorio Luperini and Frederik Hillersborg Sørensen, and Catanzaro’s Mario Šitum.
