ASUNCIÓN, Paraguay (Interstat) — Resistencia earned a 2-0 road victory over Tacuary in a Paraguayan Division Profesional match Wednesday.

The visitors secured the win with two second-half goals, handing Tacuary a defeat at home. The result improves Resistencia’s league record to three wins and one loss this season. Tacuary’s struggles continued, falling to one win, three losses and one draw in the competition.

Marcelo Miguel Paredes Valdez opened the scoring for Tacuary in the 49th minute, assisted by Elías Ezequiel Alfonso Aranda. Tacuary’s Derlis Osmar Rodríguez Maciel received a yellow card in the 37th minute. The outcome defied pregame projections that heavily favored a Tacuary victory.
