FALMOUTH, England (Interstat) — Frome Town and Falmouth Town played to a 1-1 draw in an FA Cup match Saturday marked by late drama and multiple ejections.

Marwan Hamdy scored the game’s lone goal in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time for Frome Town. The match, played at Falmouth Town AFC Social Club, saw seven yellow cards and two red cards. Hamed Hamdan received a red card in the 81st minute and Mohamed Makhlouf was sent off in the final moments of the match.

The result advanced Frome Town’s FA Cup record to 4-0-2 this season, while Falmouth Town moved to 2-2-1. The draw defied a pregame projection that heavily favored a Falmouth Town victory.
