VANTAA, Finland (Interstat) — Honka delivered a commanding performance Saturday, defeating Tobol 3-0 in a UEFA Europa Conference League match at Myyrmäen jalkapallostadion.

Forward Olly Thomas led the attack with two goals, opening his account in the 22nd minute and adding another in the 61st. Midfielder Matty Todd opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Midfielder Charlie Gilmour and substitute Graeme Shinnie each recorded an assist.

The result defied a pre-match projection of a 1-1 draw from Interstat, which gave Honka a 78.5% win probability. The match featured six yellow cards, with three for each side.

The victory gives Honka a winning start in the competition, while Tobol begins its campaign with a loss.
