Silkeborg vs Brøndby
SILKEBORG, Denmark (Interstat) — Silkeborg opens its Danish Superliga season Sunday against Brondby at JYSK Park with both teams looking to establish early momentum in the 2026-27 campaign.
The match, the first of the league’s new season, pits a Silkeborg side that has won four of its past five matches across all competitions against a Brondby team that has endured an uneven spring.
Brondby enters the fixture after a 4-0 loss to Polish side Pogon Szczecin on May 3 in a friendly, part of a stretch that includes just two wins in its last seven games. The club’s most recent Superliga result was a 1-1 draw at Nordsjaelland on May 1. Overall, Brondby has posted a 3-3-4 record in its last 10 league matches, with the most lopsided defeat a 6-0 loss at Sonderjyske on April 17.
Silkeborg has shown stronger recent form, following a 3-1 victory over Elfsborg in a midweek friendly on May 13 with a 3-2 win at Odense BK on May 3. The club has gone 6-2-2 in its last 10 Superliga contests, though it suffered a 7-0 defeat at FC Copenhagen on April 5. Silkeborg has won three of its last four home matches.
The head-to-head record favors Brondby, which won the last two meetings: 2-0 at Silkeborg on Nov. 2, 2025, and 3-0 at home on July 20, 2025. Brondby has not lost to Silkeborg since October 2024.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, the match projects as a 1-1 draw. The ELO rating system gives Silkeborg a 52.70 percent probability of winning.
Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at JYSK Park, the 10,000-seat stadium in central Jutland.
Silkeborg will aim to use its recent scoring form (Interstat) — an average of 2.2 goals per game in its last five (Interstat) — to break Brondby’s recent defensive resilience. Brondby, meanwhile, will rely on a counterattacking approach that has produced shutouts in two of the past three meetings between the sides.
The Superliga season runs through late May 2027, with the top six teams advancing to the championship round. Both Silkeborg and Brondby finished in the top half of the table last season.
