FORTALEZA, Brazil (Interstat) — Remo secured a narrow 1-0 road victory over Floresta in a Brazilian Serie C match Sunday at Estádio Municipal Presidente Getúlio Vargas.

The lone goal, scored in the second half, defied pregame projections that heavily favored Remo. Interstat’s game simulator had predicted a 1-1 draw, while its ELO system gave Remo a 71.8 percent chance to win. The result leaves both teams with identical 1-1 records in the Serie C season.

The match was a physical affair, producing seven yellow cards. Remo was cited five times, including two in the first 30 minutes, while Floresta received two. The disciplined defensive performance from the visitors secured the three points. Remo next hosts Operário PR, while Floresta travels to face Pouso Alegre.
