VESTMANNAEYJAR, Iceland (Interstat) — A stoppage-time own goal by goalkeeper Guy Smit gifted FH a 3-3 draw against IBV in a dramatic Úrvalsdeild match Saturday at Hásteinsvöllur.

The hosts took an early lead through Hermann Þór Ragnarsson in the 11th minute, but FH’s Gyrðir Hrafn Guðbrandsson equalized eight minutes later. Steven Lennon, who assisted the first, put FH ahead in the 52nd. Alex Freyr Hilmarsson leveled for IBV in the 63rd, assisted by substitute Dwayne Atkinson.

The match appeared headed for a share of the points until Smit, the IBV goalkeeper from Nijmegen, Netherlands, inadvertently put the ball into his own net in the second minute of added time. The result leaves FH with a league record of 9-8-9, while IBV moves to 8-10-6.
