Al Ahly vs ENPPI

NHLAṂGANO, Eswatini (Interstat) — Al Ahly SC edged ENPPI Club 2-0 on Saturday in an Egyptian Premier League match held at the neutral venue of King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium.

The match, part of the league’s Week 29 schedule, saw the reigning champions control proceedings from the outset, though they were held scoreless for the opening half-hour. The breakthrough for Al Ahly came in the 29th minute when midfielder Mohamed Sherif found the back of the net.

The home side doubled its lead just six minutes later. In the 35th minute, midfielder Ahmed Mohamed Abdel Kader Radwan scored, finishing a play set up by an assist from fellow midfielder Hamdi Fathi.

The two-goal margin was narrower than pregame projections from Interstat, whose game simulator had predicted a 2-0 victory for Al Ahly. The organization’s ELO rating system had given Al Ahly a 96.40 percent probability to win the contest.

With the result, Al Ahly SC begins its domestic league campaign with a perfect record of one win and zero losses. The club’s strong start to the 2025 season extends across all competitions, where it now holds two wins and zero losses. This form follows a high-scoring preseason victory over Raja Casablanca, 6-3, back in August.

ENPPI Club begins its Premier League season with a record of zero wins and one loss. Across all competitions, the club’s record is identical.

The match was officiated under sunny skies in Nhlangano. No further goals were scored in the second half, with Al Ahly seeing out the victory to secure all three points in the league standings.
