GITEGA, Burundi (March 3, 2026) (Interstat) — Flambeau du Centre delivered a commanding performance Tuesday, defeating Rukinzo 4-1 in a Week 30 BDI Ligue A match at Stade Ingoma. The home side’s victory defied a Interstat projection of a 1-1 draw, though it confirmed the simulator’s heavy 85% win probability for Flambeau.

Jakub Luka opened the scoring in the 19th minute, followed by a Roland Galcik goal in the 26th. Peter Kováčik extended the lead to 3-0 in the 51st minute. Rukinzo’s lone reply came from Kevor Palumets in the 80th minute, before Kováčik sealed the win with his second goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time. The result leaves Flambeau du Centre with a perfect start to its league campaign.
