İZMİR, Turkey (Feb. 21, 2026) (Interstat) — Altay opened its TUR 1. Lig campaign with a 2-1 victory over Tuzlaspor at Alsancak Mustafa Denizli Stadı on Saturday. The home side overcame an early deficit with two goals before halftime. Tuzlaspor’s Bünyamin Yürür scored in the 28th minute, but Altay responded quickly. Arda Gezer equalized in the 32nd minute, and striker Marco Paixão put the hosts ahead just before the break. Paixão added a second goal in the 63rd minute to secure the win. Altay began the season with a win, while Tuzlaspor started with a loss. The result exceeded Interstat’s projection of a draw, though its ELO model had favored Altay.
