JINJA, Uganda (Interstat) — Busoga United delivered a major upset in CAF Confederation Cup play Saturday, defeating favored KCCA 2-0 at Kakindu Municipal Stadium. The result defied a pregame projection that gave KCCA a 72.3% chance to win.

Midfielder Zakaria Draoui opened the scoring in the 13th minute. Forward Ahmed Khaldi sealed the Premier League victory with a second goal in the 84th minute. KCCA, held scoreless, was unable to capitalize on its favored status.

The Week 29 match leaves Busoga United with a perfect start in the competition at 1-0-0, while KCCA begins its campaign 0-1-0.
