LIBEREC, Czech Republic (Interstat) — Slovan Liberec and Hradec Kralove played to a 1-1 draw in a Czech Liga match Wednesday at Stadion u Nisy.

Robert Andrich opened the scoring for the visitors in the 46th minute. Slovan Liberec equalized in the 88th minute when defender Marios Pourzitidis scored, assisted by substitute Matyáš Kozák. The result defied a pregame projection that gave Hradec Kralove a slight probability to win.

The match was physical, featuring 12 yellow cards. Slovan Liberec attacker Victor Oluyemi Olatunji was a constant threat, playing 87 minutes and taking two shots on goal. The draw leaves both teams still seeking their first league victory of the season.
