BANGKOK (Interstat) — Uthai Thani opened its season with a 2-1 comeback victory over Customs Ladkrabang on Wednesday in Thai League 2 play at Lat Krabang 54 Stadium.

The hosts took an early lead when attacker Aung Kaung Mann scored in the 17th minute, but he was also shown a yellow card on the play. Uthai Thani, which had two players booked early, equalized in the 60th minute through midfielder Anupan Kerdsompong. Substitute Nontapat Naksawat then secured the win with a 72nd-minute goal.

The result defied pre-match projections that favored Customs Ladkrabang. Uthai Thani begins the campaign 1-0-0, while Customs Ladkrabang starts 0-1-0.
