KAUNAS, Lithuania (Interstat) — Zalgiris defeated visiting Kauno Atletas 107-83 on Thursday at Zalgiris Arena, pulling away with a 31-point third quarter. Zalgiris led 25-21 after the first quarter, 55-49 at halftime and 86-63 after the third quarter. Dominykas Grunkis paced Zalgiris with 12 points and 11 assists, Sten Adamson added 15 points and nine rebounds, Kristupas Sabeckas scored 13 points and blocked two shots, and Nojus Mistautas had 15 points. Titas Didzgalvis led Kauno Atletas with 18 points, Aistis Lukosevicius scored 13, Vytautas Meistas had 11 points and four assists, and Sarunas Morkevicius finished with eight points and five assists. Zalgiris shot 36 of 70 from the floor, 17 of 32 from 3-point range and 18 of 22 from the free-throw line. Kauno Atletas shot 31 of 76, 7 of 17 and 14 of 25. Zalgiris had 11 assists, five blocks and seven offensive rebounds, while Kauno Atletas had 14 offensive rebounds, eight assists and two blocks. Kauno Atletas committed 16 turnovers and 21 fouls; Zalgiris committed 12 turnovers and 20 fouls. Zalgiris improved to 10-5; Kauno Atletas fell to 0-4.
