Svendborg at Randers

RANDERS, DENMARK (Interstat) — The Danish Basketligaen continues Wednesday as the winless Svendborg Rabbits visit the unbeaten Randers at Randers Arena.

Svendborg enters the matchup at 0-1 following a 92-70 home loss to Horsens IC on Sept. 17. Despite the defeat, forward Amare Miller delivered a strong individual performance, recording 16 points, five rebounds and two blocks in 31 minutes. Kean Dada added 14 points and three rebounds, while Darius Maddox contributed 10 points and four rebounds. The Rabbits will look to Miller to pace the offense again as they seek their first victory of the young season. Svendborg struggled to contain Horsens IC defensively, allowing 92 points, and will need a more cohesive effort on that end of the floor to compete with a high-scoring Randers squad.

Randers opened its campaign with a convincing 100-84 road win at Holbaek-Stenhus on Sept. 17. Small forward Kaden Sand was the standout performer, pouring in 31 points to go with six rebounds, one assist and one block in 25 minutes. Dibaji Walker filled the stat sheet with 12 points, four rebounds, four assists and five blocks, while guard Adama Darboe added 13 points, four assists and two rebounds. The trio combined to overwhelm Holbaek-Stenhus, and Randers will aim to carry that momentum into its home opener. The team’s balanced attack and defensive presence, highlighted by Walker’s five blocks, present a significant challenge for a Svendborg side still searching for its rhythm.

This early-season encounter carries importance for both clubs as they jockey for position in the standings. Randers seeks to build on its strong start and protect its home court, while Svendborg aims to bounce back from a lopsided loss and avoid falling to 0-2. The Rabbits will need to find secondary scoring options behind Miller and improve their defensive rotations to slow down Randers’ multifaceted offense. Conversely, Randers will look to Sand to continue his torrid scoring pace and rely on its depth to wear down the visitors.

Following Wednesday’s game, Svendborg returns home to face Holbaek-Stenhus on Saturday, Sept. 26. Randers hits the road to take on Vaerlose BBK on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Randers 99, Svendborg 91.
