ORADEA, Romania (Interstat) — Oradea defeated Atlassib Sibiu 92-73 on Saturday at Arena Antonio Alexe, using a 30-point first quarter to take control. Oradea led 50-37 at halftime and 67-54 after three quarters. Quincy Guerrier paced Oradea with 23 points, 11 rebounds, one assist and one block. Fousseyni Traore led Atlassib Sibiu with 22 points and nine rebounds, Joshua Jefferson added 17 points, four assists, two rebounds and one block, and Jordan Battle scored 20 points with five assists and two rebounds. David Fintina had eight points and five rebounds, Malik Osborne grabbed 12 rebounds to go with six points, Kristopher Richard scored 11 points, Daniel Akin had 10, Monyea Pratt handed out seven assists, and David Nichols scored eight. Oradea shot 33 of 68 from the floor, 9 of 31 from three-point range and 17 of 22 from the free-throw line. Atlassib Sibiu shot 29 of 65 from the floor, 5 of 17 from three-point range and 10 of 15 from the free-throw line. Oradea held a 15-6 edge in offensive rebounds and committed eight turnovers to Atlassib Sibiu’s 12. Oradea is 7-3; Atlassib Sibiu is 2-2.
