OURENSE, Spain (Interstat) — Ourense defeated visiting Tizona 91-71 on Saturday in Spanish Primera FEB play at Pazo dos Deportes Paco Paz. Martin Fernandez Carballo led Ourense with 23 points, three rebounds and two assists. Marc Garcia added 22 points. Chris Czerapowicz paced Tizona with 12 points and nine rebounds, while Ander Urdiain scored 16 points. Aleksandre Phevadze contributed eight points and eight rebounds, and Andy Huelves handed out six assists. Sergio Rodriguez scored 10 points for Ourense, Sean Mc Donnel added 11, and Xabier Oroz grabbed five rebounds. Martin Iglesias finished with four points and three rebounds for Ourense. Sergio Rodriguez also had four rebounds and one assist, while Sean Mc Donnel added three rebounds. Tizona led 41-40 at halftime before Ourense used a 31-point final quarter to pull away. The home side trailed early but controlled the closing stretch. Ourense improved to 1-0, while Tizona dropped to 0-1. Ourense next travels to San Sebastian. Tizona hosts Albacete.
