DIJON, France (Interstat) — Dijon defeated visiting Strasbourg 81-72 on Friday in a French Jeep Elite game at Palais des Sports Jean-Michel Geoffroy. Strasbourg opened with 25 first-quarter points, but Dijon answered with 16 in the first, 22 in the second and 18 in the third. Strasbourg led 40-38 at halftime and held a 64-56 edge through three quarters before Dijon surged in the fourth. Strasbourg scored eight points in the final period, while Dijon scored 25 to complete the comeback. Dijon improved to 1-0, and Strasbourg fell to 0-1. Shevon Thompson starred for Dijon with 17 points, 13 rebounds and one block in 23 minutes. Jaylen Hands led Strasbourg with 23 points, one rebound and three assists in 25 minutes. William Pfister had six points and seven rebounds. Justin Bibbins added seven points, six rebounds and eight assists. Silas Melson scored 10 points and blocked one shot. Kregor Hermet scored 12 points with three rebounds. Elwin Ndjock contributed five points, six rebounds and three blocks. Kevion Taylor scored 10 points with three rebounds and two assists.
