TROMSØ, Norway (Interstat) — Tromso defeated visiting Baerum Basket 115-75 on Saturday at Tromsohallen, using a fast start and a dominant fourth quarter to pull away. Tromso led 32-19 after one quarter and extended its advantage to 59-38 by halftime. The hosts carried an 81-51 lead into the fourth before closing with a 34-24 run. Baerum Basket scored 19 points in each of the first two quarters, added 13 in the third and finished with 24 in the fourth. Baerum Basket dropped to 1-3, while Tromso improved to 1-3. Baerum Basket’s previous games included losses to Kongsberg and Ammerud Basket and a win at Nidaros. Tromso had lost to Gimle Basket, Fyllingen and Frøya Basket earlier this season. Baerum Basket next visits Frøya Basket on Saturday, then plays at Gimle Basket the following day. Tromso next travels to Centrum Tigers on Saturday, and Ammerud Basket the following day. Both teams will look to build momentum in upcoming league play.
