ELLESMERE PORT, England (Interstat) — Nazir Williams scored 20 points and Isaiah Gray added 12 points, four rebounds and four assists as Cheshire Phoenix beat Leicester Riders 108-94 Sunday in Super League Basketball at Cheshire Oaks Arena. Cheshire improved to 1-2, while Leicester fell to 0-1. Thomas Hurley led Leicester with 23 points and two rebounds. Deante Johnson added 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and two blocks for the Riders. Taryn Todd scored 15 points. Cheshire led 25-19 after the first quarter, 53-42 at halftime and 78-76 after three quarters before pulling away. Joel Emanuel had 18 points for the Phoenix, Jaylen Searles finished with 11 points, seven assists and four rebounds, and Ryker Cisarik scored 15 points. Jordan Hinds added 11 points and five rebounds. J.J. White had eight points, five rebounds and seven assists for Leicester. Nazir Williams also added five rebounds and three assists.
