RIGA (Interstat) — Rigas Juniori held off visiting Viimsi 82-81 on Wednesday, improving to 2-1 while Viimsi fell to 0-3. Rigas Juniori led 42-40 at halftime and 60-56 after three quarters before Viimsi rallied with 25 points in the fourth. Rigas Juniori scored 22 in the final quarter to secure the one-point home win. G. Jurtsenko K. led Viimsi with 32 points, six rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes. Roberts Berzins posted 12 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks for Rigas Juniori. Helmuts Petrovics added 21 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block. Raivo Kudrjavcevs contributed 12 points, four rebounds and five assists, while Erki Urvik scored 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds for Viimsi. Karmo Kilk added 10 points and six rebounds, Kaarel Valb had seven assists, Rinalds Timma scored seven points for Rigas Juniori, and Ralf Kuttis scored 10 points for Viimsi. Gert Suvi grabbed five rebounds for Viimsi.
