BC Wolves at Inter Basket

BRATISLAVA (Interstat) — BC Wolves (1-3) will visit Inter Basket (2-2) on Saturday, with both teams seeking a foothold in the early portion of their schedules.

BC Wolves has lost three of four, including its most recent outing, a 108-85 home defeat against Levicki Patrioti. The Wolves also fell 104-77 at home to Prievidza and 94-59 at home to Slovan. Their lone win came 80-66 at Iskra Svit. Tyson Brown has been a consistent presence for BC Wolves. In his past three games, Brown has scored 13, 20 and 16 points, adding six, eight and seven rebounds. He played 36 minutes in the win at Iskra Svit and finished with 20 points, eight rebounds, three assists and one block. Brown also had 13 points, six rebounds, one assist and one block against Prievidza, and 16 points, seven rebounds, one assist and one block against Slovan. His activity on the glass and ability to score inside will be important for the visiting side.

Inter Basket is 2-2 after alternating results. The team’s most recent game was a 100-50 loss at Prievidza. Maros Golian had nine points and 10 rebounds in that contest, while Adam Pukancik added nine points, one rebound and five assists, and Brno Randuska scored nine points with three rebounds. Inter Basket previously won 82-81 at Iskra Svit, lost 82-61 at Levicki Patrioti and opened with an 81-74 win at Komarno. Golian has been productive throughout the early season. He posted 11 points and 13 rebounds with two blocks against Iskra Svit, six points and six rebounds with one block against Levicki Patrioti, and 16 points and 11 rebounds with three blocks against Komarno. His rebounding and interior defense give Inter Basket a reliable option in the paint. Golian has reached double figures in rebounding in three of his past four games.

The matchup could hinge on which team controls the lane and limits second-chance opportunities. BC Wolves will look to Brown to spark its offense, while Inter Basket will rely on Golian’s work around the basket. Both teams have shown uneven stretches, but Inter Basket’s two wins have come by narrow margins and its home floor could provide an advantage. BC Wolves will need to slow Golian inside and find enough support around Brown to stay close.

Inter Basket is projected to have a slight edge at home, though BC Wolves could keep the game close if Brown remains productive. The game is expected to be competitive, with rebounding and interior play likely deciding the outcome. No point spread, betting line or over-under was provided.
