HELSINKI (Interstat) — Helsinki Seagulls defeated visiting Bisons Loimaa 84-56 on Friday at Toolon Kisahalli. Lassi Nikkarinen led Helsinki with 12 points, six assists and three rebounds. Victor Iwuakor added eight points, three rebounds and three blocks, while Remu Raitanen scored five points and Ricky Waxlax had four. Aapeli Alanen paced Bisons Loimaa with 12 points and two blocks. Javion Ogunyemi contributed six points, seven rebounds and one assist, and Roydell Brown added six points and four rebounds. Helsinki shot 14 of 28 from the floor and 1 of 7 from three-point range, while Bisons Loimaa shot 11 of 38 overall and 3 of 16 from deep. The Seagulls committed three turnovers to Bisons Loimaa’s 10 and held a 5-3 assists advantage, though Bisons Loimaa grabbed five offensive rebounds to Helsinki’s two.
