ISTANBUL (Interstat) — Galatasaray defeated visiting Bordo 102-68 Sunday at Abdi Ipekci Arena, using a dominant middle stretch to pull away. Bordo scored 15 points in the first quarter, 11 in the second, 23 in the third and 19 in the fourth. Galatasaray answered with 17 in the first, 30 in the second, 34 in the third and 21 in the fourth. The home side led after every quarter. Alen Smailagic led Galatasaray with 18 points, seven rebounds and one block. Bugrahan Tuncer added nine points, six rebounds and 11 assists, while Berkan Durmaz had 18 points and four rebounds. Chimezie Metu contributed 17 points and six rebounds for Galatasaray, and Sehmus Hazer scored 11. For Bordo, Peterson QJ scored 17 points, Damien Jefferson had 15 points and seven rebounds, and Ty Gordon added 10 points and five rebounds. Bordo fell to 1-4, while Galatasaray improved to 3-4.
