Tromso at Fyllingen

BERGEN (Interstat) — Tromso will visit Fyllingen on Saturday in Norwegian BLNO play, with both teams still searching for their first victory of the season.

Tromso enters the matchup at 0-1 after falling to Frøya Basket 100-74 in its most recent game. Guard Johannes Lange is the player to watch for Tromso. He finished that contest with 15 points, five rebounds and 10 assists in 29 minutes, directing the offense while also contributing on the glass. Grant Sitton was productive inside for Tromso, posting 22 points, four rebounds and two blocks. Isak Ramirez Nilsen added six points, four rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Lange’s performance in the opener included a double-double of points and assists, and his playmaking will be important for Tromso on the road. Sitton gave Tromso a strong interior option, and Nilsen contributed on both ends with rebounds, assists and blocks. If those three can build on that showing, Tromso could challenge Fyllingen’s defense.

Fyllingen also brings an 0-1 record into the game. The home side dropped its most recent result, an 80-68 loss to Gimle Basket. Fyllingen will try to use its home court to even its record and avoid a second straight defeat. The meeting offers both programs an early chance to build momentum in the BLNO standings.

Tromso’s upcoming schedule remains busy after Saturday. The team is set to visit Gimle Basket, then return home to face Baerum Basket. Tromso will later travel to Centrum Tigers and Ammerud Basket before hosting TNT Towers. Additional road games against Nidaros are followed by a home matchup with Fyllingen, a home game against Kongsberg and another home meeting with Nidaros.

Both teams have areas to address. Tromso showed offensive promise in its opener, with Lange creating chances and Sitton scoring inside. Fyllingen will look for a stronger home performance after its opening setback. The matchup could hinge on which side settles into a rhythm first and limits turnovers.

Tromso and Fyllingen will meet again later in the season, when Fyllingen travels to Tromso. That return game is part of a stretch that could shape the early standings for both clubs.

Interstat’s game simulator is projecting a final score of Tromso 80, Fyllingen 73.
