DUBLIN (Interstat) — Killester remained unbeaten with an 85-65 victory over visiting UCD Marian on Saturday, pulling away for a comfortable home win. UCD Marian dropped to 1-1 this season, while Killester improved to 2-0. Killester entered the game after a 74-70 home win over Sligo and carried that momentum into the matchup. UCD Marian had opened its season with a 105-93 home win over Neptune but could not sustain that form against Killester. The home side controlled the contest and prevented UCD Marian from mounting a serious comeback. Killester will next visit St. Vincent’s, while UCD Marian will host Tralee. UCD Marian then is scheduled to visit Belfast Star before hosting Limerick Celtics and UL Eagles. Killester’s upcoming schedule includes a trip to Tralee, a home game against Ballincollig and a visit from Neptune. The result left Killester perfect early in the season and gave UCD Marian its first loss.
