LA ROCHELLE, France (Interstat) — La Rochelle defeated visiting Quimper 90-67 Saturday at Salle Gaston Neveur, improving to 2-2 while Quimper fell to 0-4. La Rochelle pulled away with a 31-point third quarter and led 22-16 after the first. Quimper shot 19 of 58 from the floor and 7 of 28 from three-point range, while La Rochelle shot 25 of 53 overall and 6 of 24 from deep. La Rochelle converted 21 of 31 free throws and committed eight turnovers. Quimper made 22 of 27 free throws but committed 16 turnovers. Phillip Russell paced Quimper with 23 points, three rebounds and seven assists. J. Heath added 23 points, two rebounds and one block. Louis Cassier had 11 points, seven rebounds and two assists for La Rochelle. Allan Jeanne Rose added 13 points, six rebounds and two blocks. Daniel Oladapo scored nine points with five rebounds for Quimper. Petar Aranitovic scored 18 points with three rebounds and three assists.
