NITRA, Slovakia (Interstat) — Nitra Blue Wings will host Keravnos Strovolou on Wednesday in a basketball matchup between teams in different early-season form.

Keravnos Strovolou enters with a 2-0 record. The Cyprus club is coming off a 95-62 road win over Frederick Achilleas. Keravnos also opened its season with an 88-70 home victory against Parnu. Tyrn Flowers is the player to watch for Keravnos. In the win over Parnu, Flowers finished with 24 points, six rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes.

Nitra Blue Wings are 2-2. The Slovak club most recently defeated Iskra Svit 91-65 at home. Peter Kovacik scored 25 points in that win, while Tamario Adley added 21 points, four rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes. Tariq Ingraham contributed 13 points, 11 rebounds, two assists and two blocked shots. In that win, Kovacik played 20 minutes, Adley played 23 minutes and Ingraham played 22 minutes. Earlier this season, Nitra lost 88-81 at Szczecin, fell 94-87 at Lucenec and won 98-81 at Handlova.

Tamario Adley has been a steady option for Nitra. He had 21 points, four rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes against Iskra Svit. He also recorded 10 points, four rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes at Szczecin, 13 points, eight rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes at Lucenec, and 23 points, four rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes at Handlova.

Keravnos will look to Flowers to maintain his form. The forward scored 24 points and grabbed six rebounds in his most recent outing. Keravnos has won its first two games by 18 points against Parnu and by 33 points against Frederick Achilleas.

Nitra has scored 91 points against Iskra Svit and 98 points at Handlova. The Blue Wings also scored 87 points in a road loss at Lucenec. Nitra allowed 88 points at Szczecin and 94 at Lucenec.

After this game, Keravnos is scheduled to host Morphou, then host Szczecin. Keravnos will also visit Apollon BC, Vienna, Nancy and AEL, and host Anorthosis and Sigal Prishtina before a home meeting with Nitra Blue Wings. Nitra is set to visit Prievidza, then visit Nancy. Nitra will also host Levicki Patrioti, Parnu, BC Wolves, Vienna, Spisski Rytieri and Szczecin, and visit Slovan before traveling to Keravnos Strovolou. Both teams will continue busy stretches, but the focus remains on the upcoming meeting.
