Mykonos at Fribourg Olympic
FRIBOURG, Switzerland (Interstat) — Fribourg Olympic will host Mykonos on Tuesday at Site Sportif Saint-Leonard in Fribourg, Switzerland. The home side is 3-3. The visiting team is 2-1.
Fribourg Olympic returns home after a high-scoring win over Lugano Tigers, a game in which Adrien Moerman scored 23 points in 18 minutes and added eight rebounds and one assist. Moerman has been the focal point, with recent efforts including 27 points and 11 rebounds at Geneva Lions, 10 points, six rebounds and three assists at Oradea, and nine points with 12 rebounds against Neuchatel. Izan Le Meut and Bryan Colon also produced in the most recent win, giving the home side multiple scoring options around Moerman.
Mykonos leans on Tyree Appleby. The guard delivered 23 points, four rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes in the team’s most recent game, an 82-79 win at Maroussi. He had eight points, five rebounds and six assists against Neftchi IK and seven points, four rebounds and four assists against PAOK. Jermaine Love added 19 points and four assists in the latest victory, while DJ Funderburk contributed 13 points and seven rebounds. Mykonos has also beaten Neftchi IK at home and lost to PAOK at home this season.
Fribourg Olympic’s schedule has been busier. The Swiss club has wins over Lugano, Monthey and Union Neuchatel, plus losses to Oradea, Geneva Lions and Batumi-RSU. The team has shown scoring depth across a 3-3 start. Fribourg Olympic will try to use its home floor and recent offensive form to control tempo against a Mykonos team that has won two of three.
For Mykonos, Appleby’s playmaking and scoring will be central. Love and Funderburk provide secondary production, but Mykonos will need balanced scoring to keep pace if Fribourg Olympic’s offense finds rhythm.
Moerman’s inside-out scoring and rebounding make him a player to watch for Mykonos. He posted 23 points and eight rebounds in limited minutes in the most recent win. Fribourg Olympic also got 20 points and 10 rebounds from Izan Le Meut and 19 points and four assists from Bryan Colon in that win.
The game is part of a busy stretch for both clubs. Mykonos will continue with contests against AEK, Lok. Plovdiv, Aris, VEF Riga and Doxa Lefkadas. Fribourg Olympic will move on to Zurich, Neftchi IK, Regio Basel, Lok. Plovdiv and Nyon. The teams are also scheduled to meet again at Mykonos later in the sequence.
Interstat’s ELO system projects Fribourg Olympic with an 86.8 percent probability to win.
