DIJON, France (Interstat) — Dijon U21 defeated Strasbourg U21 88-73 on Friday in a French LNB Espoirs game. Strasbourg opened with a 23-22 first-quarter lead, but Dijon answered by scoring 29 points in the second quarter to take a 51-43 halftime advantage. Strasbourg trimmed the deficit in the third, outscoring Dijon 19-13, and Dijon entered the fourth quarter ahead 64-62. Dijon then pulled away in the final quarter, scoring 24 points while holding Strasbourg to 11. Strasbourg’s first-quarter effort kept it close early, and its third-quarter push made it a two-point game before Dijon’s late run. Dijon U21 improved to 1-0, and Strasbourg U21 fell to 0-1. Strasbourg scored 20 points in the second quarter and 19 in the third. Dijon’s fourth-quarter performance helped secure the home victory. Dijon U21 will next play at Pau-Orthez U21, while Strasbourg U21 will host Boulazac U21. Both teams will look to build on their early-season form.
