Vellaznimi at Rahoveci
RAHOVEC, Kosovo (Interstat) — Rahoveci will host Vellaznimi on Saturday at Mizahir Isma in a matchup between teams carrying identical 1-4 records and aiming to create momentum in an early-season meeting. Rahoveci has the home court and a recent offensive high point, while Vellaznimi will attempt to recover from a lopsided loss and find more balance around its top playmaker.
Vellaznimi’s most recent result was a 100-86 loss to Ylli. Kentrell Pullian produced 28 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in that game, continuing a strong individual run. Vance Jackson finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Meriton Ismaili added 14 points. Pullian has been central to Vellaznimi’s attack. He had 21 points, seven rebounds and 11 assists in a 99-90 win at Peja, and he scored 26 points with four rebounds and six assists in a loss to Sigal Prishtina. Vellaznimi also dropped games to Trepca Mitrovice, AEL Limassol and Bora, leaving the Peja result as its lone victory so far.
Rahoveci’s most recent result was a 106-95 win at Peja. Mika Adams Woods led the way with 31 points, six rebounds, 10 assists and one block. Zion Fruster added 28 points, two rebounds and four assists, while Samir Zekiqi contributed 17 points, six rebounds and two assists. Adams Woods has been a steady force for Rahoveci. He posted 30 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in a loss to AEL Limassol and 21 points, five rebounds and two assists in a loss at Bora. Rahoveci’s other defeats this season came against Bashkimi and Trepca Mitrovice, with the Peja win giving the team its first victory.
The game will bring together two of the more productive players in the matchup. Pullian gives Vellaznimi scoring, rebounding and distribution from the backcourt, while Adams Woods offers Rahoveci similar versatility and playmaking. Both players have regularly handled primary scoring and playmaking duties for their teams this season. Vellaznimi will need additional scoring from Jackson and Ismaili to take pressure off Pullian. Rahoveci will look to Fruster and Zekiqi for support as it tries to build on its strongest offensive showing.
Both teams enter at 1-4 and will see the game as an opportunity to gain ground and establish a better rhythm. Rahoveci’s home setting and recent scoring form could provide an edge, but Vellaznimi has shown it can compete when Pullian receives enough help. A win would also provide a needed boost before the schedule turns again.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a final score of Rahoveci 93, Vellaznimi 87.
