ŠIAULIAI, Lithuania (Interstat) — Cluj-Napoca defeated Šiauliai 93-75 on Wednesday at Siauliai Arena, pulling away with a balanced attack and a decisive fourth quarter. Cluj-Napoca led 25-14 after one, 50-34 at halftime and 77-49 after three before adding 16 points in the final period. Šiauliai closed with 26 fourth-quarter points but could not overcome the deficit. Uros Plavsic paced Cluj-Napoca with 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists and a block. Jalyn Mccreary also scored 16 points, Christian Bishop added 15, and Kristian Kullamae had 10 points, six rebounds and four assists. Cluj-Napoca shot 5 of 13 from three-point range and 14 of 18 from the free throw line, collected 11 offensive rebounds, and committed 11 turnovers. Michael Caffey led Šiauliai with 13 points, Martynas Pacevicius scored 12, Simas Jarumbauskas had 11, and Dayvion Mcknight dished out six assists. N. Nicolescu had 10 points for Cluj-Napoca, while Selim Fofana scored 10 for Šiauliai. Cluj-Napoca improved to 3-2, while Šiauliai dropped to 4-4.
