PERISTERI, Greece (Interstat) — Peristeri defeated Bamberg 93-87 on Tuesday at Peristeri Indoor Hall, using a 35-point first quarter to improve to 2-0. Bamberg dropped to 2-3. Jalen Finch led Peristeri with 21 points, four assists and one block. Ty Nichols, Peristeri’s top star, added 20 points, three rebounds, two assists and one block. Richard Balint paced Bamberg with 17 points, three assists and two rebounds. Noah Freidel posted 13 points and eight rebounds for Peristeri. Alexandros Nikolaidis contributed eight points and nine assists. Yuval Hochstader scored 16 points for Bamberg. S. Payne added 11 points, six rebounds and three blocks. Jordan Wright scored 11 points for Bamberg. Lamont Jones had six points and 10 assists. Mylik Wilson scored 10 points. Peristeri led 52-42 at halftime and 75-65 after three quarters. Bamberg rallied in the fourth but could not complete the comeback. Nichols had scored 21 points in his previous game against Promitheas Patras.
