ULM, Germany (Interstat) — Heidelberg used a strong fourth quarter to defeat OrangeAcademy 84-68 on Sunday in a road game. The visitors led 41-34 at halftime and 57-52 after three quarters before outscoring OrangeAcademy 27-16 in the final period. Heidelberg scored 22 points in the first quarter, 19 in the second, 16 in the third and 27 in the fourth. OrangeAcademy scored 18 in the first, 16 in the second, 18 in the third and 16 in the fourth. Heidelberg improved to 3-1, while OrangeAcademy dropped to 1-2. OrangeAcademy stayed within striking distance through three quarters, but Heidelberg’s fourth-quarter surge sealed the outcome. The road win gave Heidelberg its third victory of the season and handed OrangeAcademy its second loss. Heidelberg pulled away after taking a five-point lead into the final quarter. The visitors finished strong in the fourth. OrangeAcademy could not match that closing stretch.
