ORLEANS, France (Interstat) — Thomas Cornely recorded 12 assists and 10 rebounds, leading Pau-Orthez to a 90-85 victory over Orleans on Saturday in a French LNB Pro B game at Zenith d’Orleans. Cornely, a native of Saint-Jean-de-Braye, finished with four points in 30 minutes. Francois Wibaut added 18 points and three rebounds, Sitraka Raharimanantoainina had 12 points and nine rebounds, and Bastien Pinault scored 16 points. Fabio Milanese chipped in 13 points, Josh Mballa contributed 11 points off the bench, and Seydou Ousmane Ndiaye added seven points. For Orleans, Siriman Kanoute scored 23 points with five assists, Nathan Kuta posted 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Ilane Fibleuil had eight points. Pau-Orthez led 29-24 after the first quarter and extended its lead to 52-41 at halftime. Orleans outscored Pau-Orthez 25-10 in the third quarter to tie the game at 66, but Pau-Orthez responded with a 28-19 edge in the fourth. Pau-Orthez improved to 31-13, while Orleans fell to 26-17.
