FOS-SUR-MER, France (Interstat) — Fos Provence hosts Orchies on Sunday in a pivotal NM1 matchup at Halle des Sports Parsemain, with both teams jockeying for postseason positioning.

Fos Provence (27-15) holds a one-game edge over Orchies (27-16) in the standings. The home side won the most recent meeting 71-64 on May 22, snapping a two-game losing streak in the series. Orchies had claimed the previous matchup 84-72 on Jan. 30.

Fos Provence center Jaraun Burrows will be a focal point after posting 11 points, 8 rebounds and 1 block in 31 minutes in that victory. Over his last five games, Burrows has averaged 10.0 points and 7.2 rebounds, though he struggled in a 79-69 loss at Metropole Basket on May 5, managing just 6 points and 8 rebounds. He bounced back with 13 points and 7 rebounds in a 79-70 overtime win against Levallois on May 1.

Orchies guard Mathias M’Madi leads the visitors. In the May 22 loss, he logged 27 minutes with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. M’Madi has been inconsistent recently: he scored 14 points in a 85-71 win over Toulouse Basket on May 8 but managed only 6 points in an 89-95 loss at UTLPB on May 5. He erupted for 20 points in a 77-75 win over Sables Vendee on May 1.

Orchies enters on a three-game losing streak, including a 90-86 defeat at Metropole Basket on April 26. The team’s offense has wavered, averaging 71.3 points over its last three games, down from its season norm. Conversely, Fos Provence has won two of its last three but dropped a 72-65 decision to Lorient on May 8.

The all-time series this season favors Fos Provence 2-1, with the home team winning all three contests. In the Oct. 31, 2025 meeting, Fos Provence routed Orchies 94-77.

Key contributors for Orchies beyond M’Madi include point guard Lucas Veragne, who had 10 points and 5 rebounds in the May 22 game, and small forward Abdoulaye Sy, who added 8 points and 7 rebounds. For Fos Provence, point guard Dominic Bridgewater led all scorers in the last meeting with 17 points, and point guard Malela Mutuale chipped in 9 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
