Zadar vs. Dubrovnik

DUBROVNIK, Croatia (Interstat) — Zadar looks to extend its dominance over Dubrovnik when the teams meet Monday in a Croatian A-1 Liga matchup at Sportska dvorana Gospino polje.

Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. local time.

Zadar (45-18 overall) enters the game riding a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating Dubrovnik 83-57 on Friday. That victory was the fourth straight head-to-head win for the visitors, who have not lost to Dubrovnik since November 2023.

Forward Boris Tisma has been a key contributor for Zadar. In his last six appearances, he has averaged 12.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists. He logged 20 points and nine rebounds in the May 16 win at Kvarner 2010 and followed with 21 points and eight boards in a May 13 home victory over the same opponent.

Dubrovnik (19-18) has won four of its last five games, including a 77-69 home win over Samobor on May 16. Guard Marko Loncovic has been the team’s top performer of late, averaging 13.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists over his last four outings. He scored 23 points and grabbed six rebounds in that win against Samobor.

However, Dubrovnik has struggled against Zadar this season. The home team has lost all three meetings by an average margin of 23.3 points, including a 100-70 defeat April 10 and a 79-67 loss Feb. 8.

Zadar boasts one of the league’s deepest rosters and has won 10 of its last 12 games overall. Dubrovnik will need to slow down Tisma and find offensive consistency to snap its skid against the visitors.
