La Rochelle vs. Nantes
NANTES, France (Interstat) — Nantes hosts La Rochelle in a pivotal French LNB Pro B matchup Tuesday afternoon at Complexe Sportif Mangin-Beaulieu, with both teams jockeying for playoff positioning as the regular season winds down.
Nantes enters with a 24-17 record, while La Rochelle sits at 20-18. The home side has won four of its last five games, including a 98-88 road victory over La Rochelle on April 10. Nantes also took the reverse fixture earlier this season, but La Rochelle won 81-73 in Nantes on Oct. 17, 2025.
Forward Dylan Van Eyck has been a key catalyst for Nantes during its recent surge. In a 82-75 win at Vichy on May 15, Van Eyck logged 24 minutes and poured in 21 points on efficient shooting, adding four rebounds and one assist. He followed that with 11 points and five boards in a 108-81 blowout of Antibes on May 8. Over his last five games, the versatile forward has averaged 14.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 23.6 minutes per game.
For La Rochelle, forward Ibrahima Cherif Haidara has been a consistent two-way presence. He posted 16 points, five rebounds and three blocks in 22 minutes during La Rochelle’s 87-76 victory over St Chamond B on May 15. Haidara also recorded eight points and five assists in a win over Orleans on April 21. However, he has struggled with efficiency in some recent contests, shooting 4-for-11 from the field in a 67-86 loss at Blois on May 9.
The April 10 head-to-head saw Nantes’ balanced attack prevail, with five players scoring in double figures. Kyle Riddley, a guard for Nantes, contributed 14 points and three assists in that game, while center Jean-Fabrice Dossou grabbed eight rebounds.
La Rochelle has split its last six games, with wins over St Chamond B, Evreux and Orleans but losses at Blois and Vichy. The team’s offense has been inconsistent, averaging 79.8 points over that stretch while allowing 78.3.
Nantes, meanwhile, has won six of its last seven, with the only defeat coming at Poitiers on April 21. The club ranks among the Pro B leaders in defensive efficiency, holding opponents to 77.2 points per game over that span.
Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. local time. The game marks the third meeting between the two sides this season, with the season series tied 1-1.
