Oradea vs. Dinamo Bucuresti
BUCHAREST, Romania (Interstat) — Oradea visits Dinamo Bucuresti on Tuesday in a Romanian Divizia A matchup at Arena de Baschet, with both teams looking to gain an edge in what has become a tightly contested series.
Oradea (36-11) enters the game riding a mixed recent stretch against its opponent. The team won 76-72 on Sunday, but that result followed a narrow 81-80 loss and a 93-89 victory earlier this month. The head-to-head record this season stands at 3-2 in favor of Oradea, with each game decided by single digits.
Forward Emmanuel Nzekwesi has been a consistent performer for Oradea. In Sunday’s win, he logged 21 minutes, scoring 15 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing five assists. He also posted 15 points and six boards in the 81-80 loss May 12, and 13 points and three rebounds in the 93-89 win May 10. Nzekwesi, who averaged 12.4 points and 5.8 rebounds over his last six games, will be a key factor on both ends.
Dinamo Bucuresti (24-12) counters with center Ousmane Drame, who has been a force in recent outings. Drame produced 19 points and 11 rebounds in the May 12 victory at Oradea, and added nine points and eight rebounds in Sunday’s loss. Over his last eight games, he has recorded four double-doubles, including a 27-point, 11-rebound effort May 2 at Rapid Bucuresti.
Both teams are coming off a five-game series that began April 14. Oradea won 78-72 that afternoon, then Dinamo took a 95-69 loss Dec. 29 in the earlier season meeting. Tuesday’s game tips off at 7 p.m. local time.
