Split vs. Zabok
ZABOK, Croatia (Interstat) — Split visits Zabok on Sunday in a Croatian A-1 Liga matchup at Sportska dvorana Bedekovcina, with both teams looking to build momentum in the final stretch of the regular season.
Split (33-27) enters the game after a narrow 86-80 home win over Zabock on Wednesday, a result that extended its winning streak to two games. The visitors have won four of their last six outings, though they suffered a lopsided 90-67 loss at Zadar on May 3. Split’s offense has been potent, averaging 88.3 points over its past three wins, but consistency remains a concern after a 95-72 defeat at Mega Leks in late April.
Zabok (16-19) arrives following Wednesday’s loss at Split, dropping its third consecutive game and fifth of its last six. The home side’s lone victory in that span came May 9 against KK Dubrava Zagreb, a 75-63 decision. Zabok has struggled defensively, allowing 88.3 points per game over its past four contests, including a 94-75 defeat at Kvarner 2010 on May 3.
The head-to-head series heavily favors Split, which has won four of the last five meetings. The teams split their most recent two matchups, with Split winning 90-74 at Zabok on April 15 and Zabok falling 85-83 at home on Jan. 24. Split’s only loss in the past five head-to-heads came Nov. 9, 2025, when Zabok won 83-79.
Split forward Antonio Sikiric has been a key contributor, averaging 13.7 points and 4.6 rebounds over his last seven games. In Wednesday’s win over Zabok, he logged 30 minutes, scoring 19 points with six rebounds and one assist. Sikiric also posted 10 points and seven rebounds in a 87-70 victory against Cedevita II on May 9. However, he struggled at Zadar on May 3, managing just three points and three rebounds in 22 minutes.
For Zabok, forward Henrik Sirko has been the team’s most consistent performer. In Wednesday’s loss at Split, he recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, adding three assists in 33 minutes. Sirko also tallied 19 points, nine rebounds and five assists in the win over KK Dubrava Zagreb on May 9. Over his past four games, he is averaging 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists.
