AALST, Belgium (Interstat) — Niels Van Den Eynde recorded 22 points, 14 assists and three rebounds to lead Okapi Aalstar past the Willebroek Kangoeroes 93-84 on Friday at Forum Aalst in BNXT League play.

Okapi improved to 25-8, while Willebroek fell to 19-16-1.

The home team trailed 30-25 after the first quarter but outscored Willebroek 24-16 in the second to take a 49-46 halftime lead. Okapi extended its advantage with a 22-20 third quarter and matched Willebroek 22-18 in the fourth.

Dante Maddox added 21 points and five assists for Okapi. Siebe Ledegen scored 15 points, Mattias Palinckx had 15 points and four rebounds, and Eddie Colbert posted a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Ivan Maras contributed seven points and seven boards.

For Willebroek, Zaba Bangala logged a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Augustas Peciukevicius scored 19 points with seven assists, Tobi Ewuosho had 14 points and nine rebounds, and Josh Heath added 13 points and four assists.
