Ovarense Dolce Vita vs. Oliveirense

OLIVEIRA DE AZEMÉIS, Portugal (Interstat) — Ovarense Dolce Vita faces Oliveirense on Wednesday in a Portuguese LPB matchup at Dr. Salvador Machado Sports Arena.

Ovarense Dolce Vita (15-7) enters the game holding a strong position near the top of the league standings, while Oliveirense (12-11) seeks to improve its middling record. The visiting team has dominated the recent head-to-head series, winning all three meetings this season, including a 93-79 victory Saturday.

Center Jackson Stormo has been a key contributor for Ovarense Dolce Vita. In the most recent win over Oliveirense, Stormo posted 19 points and 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. Over his last three outings, he has averaged 10.3 points and 7.0 rebounds. Jalen Jenkins and Antonio Woods also played pivotal roles in Saturday’s win, combining for 23 points and 16 assists.

Oliveirense will look to forward Earl Timberlake to spark an offense that has struggled against Ovarense Dolce Vita. Timberlake recorded 12 points, six rebounds and three blocks in Saturday’s loss. In his previous three games, he averaged 11.0 points and 9.3 rebounds, including a 14-rebound performance April 18 against Imortal Albufeira.

Ovarense Dolce Vita has shown resilience on the road, posting wins at Galitos Barreiro and at Oliveirense earlier this season. However, the team has dropped close games recently, including a 74-67 loss to Braga on April 25 and a 74-73 defeat to Queluz Sintra on April 11.

Oliveirense has split its last six games, winning two of three at home during that stretch. The team defeated Imortal Albufeira 78-73 on April 18 but lost to Vitoria 84-74 on April 25.

Wednesday’s game marks the fourth meeting between the clubs this season. Ovarense Dolce Vita won the first matchup 87-82 on Oct. 18, followed by a 97-82 victory Feb. 7. The team has not lost to Oliveirense since the 2024-25 season.
