SHEFFIELD, England (Interstat) — Kedrian Johnson scored 34 points to lead the Leicester Riders past the Sheffield Sharks 97-87 on Sunday at Canon Medical Arena. Johnson also had two rebounds, three assists and one block. Nick Kern scored 32 points with eight rebounds for Sheffield. Leicester shot 30 of 57 from the field and 31 of 37 from the free throw line, while Sheffield shot 34 of 69 and 16 of 22. The Riders hit 6 of 17 three-point attempts, the Sharks 3 of 21. Flynn Raffett added 21 points and six rebounds for Leicester, and Aaron Menzies contributed 13 points and seven rebounds. Fahro Alihodzic had 14 points and six rebounds for Sheffield. Xavier Bledson scored 12 points for Leicester. Leicester forced 15 turnovers and committed 12, while drawing 29 fouls to the Sharks’ 19. The Riders improved to 14-18; Sheffield dropped to 16-15. The victory avenged an 81-78 loss to the Sharks on Friday.
