AP Sports Preview

BOURG-EN-BRESSE, France (Interstat) — Saint-Vallier visits Vitre on Friday, May 1, 2026, in a French NM1 matchup at Salle des Sports.

Saint-Vallier (22-16 overall) enters the contest aiming to bounce back from a four-point loss to Val De Seine on April 26. Vitre (15-22) looks to halt a two-game skid after falling to Charleville-Mezieres by nine points the same day.

The teams meet for the second time in as many days following a 0-0 result on Thursday. In their most recent completed head-to-head on March 27, Saint-Vallier dominated Vitre 96-70.

Saint-Vallier guard Sasha Derradji has been the catalyst for the visitors. In his last four outings, Derradji averaged 14.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 7.0 assists. He posted 18 points, seven rebounds and seven assists in the loss to Val De Seine, and recorded a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds in a win at Chartres Metropole on April 21.

Vitre counters with point guard Leo DeBruhl, who has averaged 14.8 points and 7.3 rebounds over his last four games. DeBruhl logged a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds in the defeat at Charleville-Mezieres, and contributed 18 points, five rebounds and seven assists in a loss to Metz Basket on April 17.

Saint-Vallier has won four of its last five, with the lone blemish the Val De Seine setback. The team has been productive beyond Derradji: Olivier Yao-Delon scored 21 points in that loss, and Amadou Sidibe posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Vitre has dropped three of four. Fidelis Okereke added 12 points and seven rebounds in the Charleville-Mezieres defeat, while Sullivan Hernandez chipped in seven points and eight boards.

After Friday’s contest, Saint-Vallier hosts CFBB on May 5, while Vitre travels to face Pays Salonais the same day.
