Copenhagen vs. EBAA
Preview: Copenhagen Wolfpack at EBAA, Danish Basketligaen
RISSKOV, Denmark (Interstat) — Two Danish Basketligaen teams seeking momentum will meet Wednesday when EBAA hosts the Copenhagen Wolfpack at Vejlby Risskov Center.
The home side holds a clear recent advantage, having routed Copenhagen 81-57 just 11 days ago on March 28. That result is part of EBAA’s 2-0 edge in the season series, which also includes a 69-67 victory last December. Copenhagen’s last win against EBAA came in October 2025.
EBAA (9-19 overall) enters with slightly better form, coming off a 75-61 home win over Vaerlose BBK on March 31. Center Simon Schwartz was pivotal in that victory, scoring 14 points with four rebounds and two blocks in just 17 minutes. He also contributed seven points and seven rebounds in the late-March rout of Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen Wolfpack (6-23) are mired in a prolonged slump, having lost 10 consecutive games. Their most recent outing was an 80-65 home loss to Holbaek-Stenhus on April 1. A bright spot in that defeat was forward Per Christian Meller Brandt, who posted 11 points, eight rebounds and two assists. Brandt will be a key figure if Copenhagen hopes to snap its skid.
Despite their struggles, both teams have shown sporadic offensive capability this season. EBAA’s 109-point performance in January and Copenhagen’s 98-point outing in October indicate potential for a higher-scoring affair than their last meeting suggested.
The matchup carries weight for positioning late in the season. EBAA will look to solidify its standing, while Copenhagen desperately seeks a catalyst to reverse a disastrous stretch. Schwartz’s interior presence for EBAA will clash with Brandt’s all-around activity for the Wolfpack in a critical individual battle.
Tip-off is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in Risskov.
