Primorje 1945 vs. Podgorica
LAS VEGAS (Interstat) — A unique intercontinental showcase for the Montenegrin Prva A Liga is set for Sunday when Primorje 1945 faces Podgorica at T-Mobile Arena.
The neutral-site contest, scheduled for March 15, 2026, pits the league-leading Primorje 1945 (16-5) against a surging Podgorica (11-9) squad that has won three straight.
Primorje, however, looks to rebound from a narrow 111-106 home loss to Sutjeska on Wednesday. Star forward Jovan Sljivancanin was a bright spot in that defeat, scoring 23 points with six rebounds and four assists. He has been consistently productive, averaging 16.7 points over his last three games.
Podgorica enters with momentum after a commanding 92-73 road win over Studentski Centar. Guard Masan Vrbica has been instrumental in their streak, averaging 13.7 points and 7.0 assists over the last three victories, including a 19-point, 7-assist performance in a win over Teodo Tivat.
The teams are familiar with each other, having just played on Saturday, March 14, though the result of that game was not provided. The quick turnaround on a global stage adds an intriguing layer to the matchup.
Despite Primorje’s superior record, statistical models give a slight edge to Podgorica. Interstat’s ELO system projects Podgorica with a 54% probability to win.
Following this special event in Las Vegas, Primorje 1945 will host Ulcinjska Rivijera on March 21, while Podgorica will travel to face Decic on the same date.
