Morphou vs. ETHA Engomis
EGKOMI, Cyprus (Interstat) — Two teams on identical 3-4 records will look to halt losing streaks when Morphou visits ETHA Engomis in a Cypriot Division A matchup on Thursday.
The game at Eleftheria Sports Arena pits two squads seeking to get back to .500 after recent tough losses.
Morphou (3-4) is coming off a heartbreaking 76-74 defeat to APOEL on Saturday, a game in which Keith Williams delivered a near triple-double. The small forward poured in 28 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, and dished out 10 assists in the narrow loss. Morphou has dropped three of its last four contests.
ETHA Engomis (3-4) also seeks to rebound from a loss, falling 92-81 to Keravnos Strovolou on Sunday. The team is led by the backcourt duo of Yazid Powell and Isaiah Gray. Powell, the point guard, nearly notched a triple-double of his own in the last outing with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists, while Gray added 20 points.
Both teams have shown offensive firepower but have struggled with consistency. Morphou’s Williams will be the focal point, but he will need support from big men Sidiki Kone and Nikolaos Okekuoyen against ETHA’s strong frontcourt, anchored by power forward Ahmir Langlais and his 14-rebound average from the last game.
The contest is the first of a home-and-home series between the clubs, who are scheduled to meet again in Morphou on Feb. 7, 2026. Tip-off is set for Thursday afternoon in Egkomi.
